I am Cathy Filas' sister, Darlene. I came across this posting while searching the site. We lost Cathy on January 8, 1997. It was sudden and due to complications from pneumonia (she was not aware she had it). That evening my mother went over to visit with her and apparently she had collapsed while coughing badly. Cathy is buried in Crystal Lake Memorial Park and is laid to rest next to our father, Bruno Filas. Throught FB and the CLCHS alumni sites I have more recently established contact with one of her closer high school friends. Please feel free to message me via this site or on FB.
