Gail Johnson (Schumacher)

Gail died unexpectedly October 22, 2005 in a tragic fire in Whitewater, WI.

After CLCHS she went on to graduate from the University of Illinois and was the proprieter of Crystal Lake Appraisal Service, Inc., a valued and trusted real estate appraisal firm for north-eastern Illinois.   She was an active participant in life and loved to have fun.  Her many and varied interests included art, music, sports and the outdoors.  She is remembered for her generosity, cheerfulness, intelligence, loyalty to friends and love for her family.  She was a beautiful and treasured friend to many of us and will remain a vital part of our lives forever and is truely missed by all.

I was so sad when I learned about Gail's death. She had to be one of the nicest people I met while in high school. We had an art class together and she always remembered that. Anne Hougas

Gail was one of the nicest people I have ever met. We met and started hanging out in 7th grade. There were 10 of us that used to hang out and ride bikes or her horse, Barnaby. I last saw Gail at a dinner they had for me right before I moved to Florida in 2002. As usual, Gail was laughing and having a good time. The world was a better place with Gail in it. May she rest in peace.

Words cannot express the tremendous sorrow that will forever exist over this devastating news of Gail's tragic death. She was a truly wonderful young woman, who loved life, and always had a kind gentle spirit about her. Always knew she was like an angel from heaven above, for she simply radiated a pure and beautiful spirit from deep within her heart. She will never, ever be forgotten by any of those who were blessed by her very presence within this World. May The Lord keep her close always, and provide comfort to her grieving family. Gail's smile will always be remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her. Our hearts are broken.

Gail was a very special person as we all know. She was one of the few people in High School and even today of people I know who had it all. I am very sad to hear of the passing of Gail. I was hoping to have another interesting conversation with her someday.
