Thomas Lyle Rooney

Born:  March 24, 1952 in Elgin, IL

Died:  March 7, 2015 in Mountain Home, AR

Thomas Lyle Rooney, age 62, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Crystal Lake, IL passed away March 7, 2015, in Mountain Home.

He was born March 24, 1952, in Elgin, IL to Ralph and Joyce (Roderick) Rooney.  Mr. Rooney married Cathy Rasmussen June 12, 1993, in Rockbridge, Wisconsin.  He worked many years as a carpenter.  He recently retired from First Security Bank Maintenance Department.  He was a member of West Ridge Church in Cotter.

Mr. Rooney is survived by his wife, Cathy Rooney of Mountain Home, AR; a son Bryan Rooney of Westby, WI; a daughter, Stephanie Lieurance and husband Pat of Crystal Lake, IL; three step-sons, Steven Banker and wife Laci of Muscoda, WI and John and Daniel Banker of Richland Center, WI; his mother, Joyce Rooney of Mountain Home, AR; a sister, Connie Schramm of LaCrosse, WI; a brother, Dave Rooney of Wonder Lake, IL; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Shirley Rasmussen of Lone Rock, WI; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Jim.

A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Masonic Lodge, 237 S. Oak Street, Lone Rock, WI.
